Statement: Elephants are my favorite animal. They are beautiful in my opinion and I love what they symbol. Elephants symbol good luck and hope, so this little figurine I have always reminds me of that. It saddens me that this animal is on the endangered species list and I'd do anything to reverse that. Elephants have always been an animal I have admired because of their kind nature and their gracious presence. I collect several little elephant figurines, but this one is my favorite.
Statement: Poetry has never been something that has interested me until I read this book. It has always been boring, but "Egghead" by Bo Burnham gave me a new perspective on what poetry can be. This book is one of the funniest and most enjoyable books I've ever read. The creative illustrations combined with the use of sarcastic language creates the perfect atmosphere. I would gladly read this book several times.
Statement: The color, taste, and versatility of a banana are what entices me most about them. Bananas are not only good to photograph, but are also really good to eat. I always reach for a banana to eat more than I do for every other fruit. Its amazing how many ways you can eat them: on its own, in smoothies or milkshakes, with ice cream, and even with any breakfast. The color of bananas (yellow) reminds me of happiness and makes me feel like eating bananas will make me happy.
Statement: These photos were taken at a time when I wanted to be a little experimental. I wanted to do something fun and cool, so I had the idea to drop food coloring in a mason jar of water. Both of these photos convey how I was feeling at the time. The first photo represents how I'm filled with holiday spirit since Christmas is fast approaching. The second photo represents my excitement and the inner creativity that I wanted to express. The way the food coloring moves through the water is very interesting and enticing to look at. The fact that the background is white enhances and makes the colors even more bright.
Statement: This bracelet was given to me by my mother on Christmas. It is very special to me because the stone on the bracelet is actually my birth stone, which is an amethyst. I don't even wear this bracelet out of fear that I will lose it, but I still cherish it everyday. It was a very thoughtful gift. Also, my birth stone is purple and that is my favorite color, so that adds to its specialness. The bracelet has a very simple design, by having four little charms, but simplicity is all I need.
